Introducing a couple of people we couldn't do without at AVR...
LIZ TEMPLE gives up two days a week to help out in the AVR warehouse. She manages to juggle her voluntary work around childcare and she really enjoys sorting and bagging the textiles and shoes we get. "I wanted to do something to benefit the environment." says Liz. "Recycling is one of the best ways to help our planet."		MATTHEW ELLIS walks here from Frizinghall every Thursday to volunteer with AVR. He finds it an ideal way to get back into the swing of working again. Matthew has a strong environmental conscience and likes our supportive working atmosphere. He also goes out with the collection trucks.

Community Involvement We love to get involved with community groups and schools, so if you would like us to come and talk to you about recycling or if you would like to arrange a visit then contact us.

Progression to Employment Training Opportunities
Aire Valley Recycling provide progression to employment training for long term unemployed people, people with disabilities or mental health problems and anyone who faces barriers to employment. Training in a working environment creates a sense of self-worth and purpose boosting confidence and increasing your chances of progressing to employment.
